Ian Stewart-Hargreaves Silversmith  Creaganan Gorm, Carloway. Isle of Lewis. HS2 9AG.

All of my pieces are wholly hand-made on the Island of Lewis using traditional tools of the metal-workers' craft. I do confess to having an electric drill and gas burners for brazing. Within the range of my products, I am prepared to undertake any commission. Although I make other objects, I consider that my speciality is the making of penannular brooches and kilt pins. I admit that many of the ancestors' pieces would have been made from polished bone, horn or antler and rarely of a precious metal. I have attempted to use silver in the simplest way possible to make something that is functional.
