Lewis
Sports Centre Is a dual use Sports complex for schools
and the public. It is open from 8am - 10pm Monday to
Friday, and 9am to 8pm on Saturdays. The Centre is
new, and so offers 'state of the Art' facilities and
activities. All ages are catered for with a soft
play area and Crèche (privately run).
The
cafe area is situated between the climbing wall and pool
and so its possible to have junior in Crèche, family
swimming, whilst you sit centrally having a good cup of
coffee, watching somebody else go 'up the wall'
Facilities include: fitness centre, pool, Games Hall,
Squash Courts, Health Suite, Climbing Wall, Hall, Crèche.
Outdoors, an Astro Turf pitch and running track is available for groups.
For locals or longer stay visitors, the centre offers a
membership scheme which offers use of all the facilities
for a single fee or a monthly payment.

Based
in one of the most beautiful locations in Britain - Uig
on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland - and offers
spectacular boat trips around the Uig coast and beyond.
Whether its wildlife trips, special charter or our

climbing/abseiling with lunch in a local venue all in
the beautiful picturesque setting of Uig.
From June 2008
we will have a new addition to the boats we have
available for hire- our new Interceptor 42 motor
launch, capable of 27 knots or cruising at 18 knots,
coded to Cat 2 and with a cruising range of 275
nautical miles. It Is ideal for work such as
surveys, passenger transfer, Load carrying,
Television and filming, Private charter or day
trips. It is fitted out with toilets, cooking
facilities, and plenty of space for storing
equipment. The vessel will carry 12 passengers
in comfort and can be hired on a day rate, operating
on the west coast of Scotland but can be transferred

Come along
and enjoy this exciting sport at a specially
prepared area just on the outskirts of Stornoway on
Macaulay Farm.
We have based our ideas for Viking Paintball around fun
for all the family and we are committed to providing a
safe enjoyable atmosphere and experience.
We
can play a game with a minimum of 10 players and a
maximum of 20. (The more the merrier so it's even better
when you can get a team together before booking).
We are a member of the
UK Paintball Sports Federation (UKPSF)
The
UKPSF are the governing body for the sport and as a
member we are committed to operating with the highest
regard for safety and customer satisfaction while

Fishing
|

| |
Lewis and Harris have
some of the finest Salmon and Trout fishing anywhere in
Scotland. The Hebrides have over 2000 fishable
Lochs and a large number of rivers with access to the
sea. Most Salmon catches are in the 7 to 10 lbs.
range and Brown trout catches are also of a good range.
Species caught include sea trout, wild
salmon, brown trout, Arctic char and ferox trout.
The best time for fishing wild salmon is between June
and September and the best conditions are when the
rivers are in spate after heavy rain, or, during
spring tides. |
