The Ravenspoint Centre
& Tea Room at Kershader is the gateway to South Lochs, the hidden jewel of Lewis: an area with a strong Gaelic culture, dramatic history, beautiful scenery, coastal villages, and rare wildlife.
Ravenspoint, a former school building, is owned by Co-Chomunn na Pairc, one of the original community co-operatives established in the 1970s.
Our 14-bed hostel is located in the former schoolmaster’s semi-detached house immediately next to the shop and café and other facilities at the Ravenspoint Centre. We have three rooms of bunk-beds and operate an ‘open door policy’ with mixed accommodation:
