Arts and crafts gallery in Mangersta, Uig, Isle of Lewis. The artists’ studio displays craft and art works in an eclectic range of mediums, including handmade paper maps of Uig and St Kilda, landscape oil and pastel paintings, photography, bespoke cabinet making and lighting designs. 

 

Hebridean artists and designers Campbell Scanlan, Elsie Mitchell, Derek Scanlan and Lorna Scanlan take their inspiration from crofting, fishing and exploring the wild land and seascapes of the Uig peninsula. Paintings, craft products, photography and prints can be purchased directly from the gallery. Campbell Scanlan welcomes commissions for bespoke interiors.

 

Mangurstadh Gallery is located at the end of a long and winding road that leads to one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline to be found anywhere in the Outer Hebrides, a visit to Mangersta should be on your top 10 things to do on the Isle of Lewis and Harris.  

 

The gallery welcomes visitors by appointment. Please phone or email before travelling to our remote location, or please drop in if passing by and the open sign is displayed. Mangersta is a 1hr. drive from Stornoway and a 1.5hr. drive from Tarbert. Follow the B8011 to Uig.  Accommodation in Glamping Pods is also available on the artists’ working croft.
