Above is the Leathad Ard Gallery, which offers an attraction from wet to dry, sunny to shady, the different conditions created by using shelter and raised beds has permitted a wide range of plants to be grown, a plantaholics dream. Hedges have divided the garden into a number of smaller spaces interconnected by grass and gravel paths so that a new, exciting view is revealed at every turn.
Beds include herbaceous borders; bog gardens; cutting garden; grass garden; exposed beds; patio; a new pond and fruit and vegetable patches some of which are grown for showing.
There is also a plant stall selling only our own home produced plants. A full tour with Stuart will take about 2 hours.
The garden is open under Scotland’s Gardens, Scotland’s national charity garden scheme, and all donations go to this charity, 40% being passed to our designated charity, The Red Cross, and the remainder to Scotland’s Gardens own supported charities. scotlandsgardens.org/leathad-ard
